I found clothes for the wedding!!

I got my dress, Kaylee's dress, Emily's dress and Nathan's suit for C.J's wedding!  Yay!  The clothes will also double up for Easter.  I'm so excited, my mom and I had a great shopping day this past Sunday!!  I love when you find what you need.  I still have some work to do on these floppy chicken wing arms since my dress is sleeveless but June is a few months away so I'm not too worried yet.   I found Nathan's and Kaylee's at JcPennys.  As soon as Kaylee saw the dress she wanted to go try it on and then when she came upstairs with her little crown on too I knew we had a winner.  Nate of course was hamming it up:
Kaylee loves her dress!  It's such a pretty peach color, goes great with her hair.  It looks like a little prom dress, I love the flowers on it:
Emily was dancing around in her dress.  I fell in love with this one, I love the cute basket weave and you can't tell in this picture but the skirt is nice and full, the fabric is really nice, silky.  I saw a few other dresses, one at CP that was cute with big pink polka dots and I almost got that one but after I saw this one in Macy's, it was more of a fancy dress, I just had to get it:
I did not take pictures of myself in my dress, we don't need to go there.  I might have to take some pro pictures of the kids outside in their fancy clothes!!  Maybe if the weather warms back up, no indoor pictures.  Spring pictures need to be taken outside with new grass, little buds and spring flowers!  I know a really cute chinese garden in SB, maybe I'll take them there.  Might have to wait until after Easter though.  Maybe I can do a few with Em before, I got her this little chicky that peeps and she LOVES it!  She keeps hugging and kissing it and every time it peeps she says "aww" and then has to hug and kiss it again.  Ha!

Kaylee is going to a sleepover party tonight and Nate gets to stay with Nana and Papa so it's only the littlest one and us tonight.  Maybe we'll all go to bed early tonight and catch up on some Zzz's!

Daddy Day!

I meant to blog this on Tuesday but didn't have time so it's a little late coming.

Tuesday was so beautiful!! In the 70's!!  My awesome husband took a vacation day so he could enjoy the weather and his family.  We made a trip to  South Bend to take my ring in because it has a loose stone.  Then we stopped for an early lunch at Olive Garden, mmmmm.  I had the salad and soup combo and it was so good!  We stopped back home and got out the bikes and took a bike ride and then took a trip to the park where we let Emily work out some energy and we just really relaxed and enjoyed the day.  After we got home we got out the stroller and took a nice walk.  It was just too good of a day to spend indoors.  I enjoyed spending some time with him and soaking up the sun.

After all that fun we got down to doing some yard work, blah!  Jay (lives near us) was so nice and let us use his leaf sucker that hooks up to his lawn mower so Jimmy could just buzz around the yard really quick and pick up the other half of our leaves that didn't fall until we had a foot of snow on the ground last year.  Last fall it took me two weeks to rake and bag the first half and I know it would have been a long project to get the rest this spring, thank you Jay!!  So leaves are now sitting in a pile waiting to be bagged (a very huge pile).  I will not touch them until the weather gets warmer again.

Since Tuesday Jimmy has been working late at the dinning room table, I'm working my booty off trying to knock out this editing.  I'm also doing great working out, it's finally to the stage where it's an enjoyable habit that gives me energy.  I've been trying to work out at least once a day, sometimes twice to burn off that flab and tone up.  I'll be getting really busy soon so I have to get in shape now.  This weekend I'm taking pictures at a birthday party and thats it so I should be able to edit those pictures and get a lot more done on that wedding during the week next weekend.

I'm posting a few pictures on the blog, the rest on facebook:

I can't get enough!

I am loving this weather!! Whoo boy have we had a nice couple of days or what?!?! We had a fun family day on Sunday, took the kids outside to play and on a bike ride, had pizza for dinner. I've got more pics on facebook so check those out if you want. I've also posted a couple pictures from Saturdays wedding there, just some wedding details. Haven't gotten much editing done, just started today. Emily loves being outside, she has brought me her shoes 3 times today, her coat twice. She knows how to say "bike" now and "outside".
Wedding on Saturday went well, Jimmy had a cold so he wasn't feeling tip top but I'm glad i had him with me. I need a partner here!! I don't see how anyone could do a wedding alone, too many places to be!
Jimmy is taking tomorrow off, we're going to enjoy the weather with Em's. It's suppose to be in the 60's, I hope it never ends!!

March and it's crazy weather.

Emily swinging at the park, she loves to go high:

Loving this weather:
Well we had another nice couple of days. March is always annoying because the weather is so back and forth.  Emily and I went to the park again, a couple times with a friend that lives down the road from us.  I am so ready for warmer weather!  Emily loves playing outdoors.  She enjoys swinging and likes to go high.  She likes climbing around on the playground and sliding down slides on her tummy.  Her favorite thing to do is to just go outside and run around everywhere.  I can't believe how much she's been learning lately.  I've notice a big difference even in the past few days.  She lets me know what she wants when she wants it.  If she wants to go outside she'll bring me her socks and shoes, she calls them both shoes.  If she wants me to read a book she'll bring it to me and sit in my lap.  If I quote part of a book she'll remember what book it's from and go get that book.  She knows when she's hungry and will go pull on the fridge door.  Last night she got tired of waiting for dinner so she stood in front of the fridge and said "hungry, please, thank you".  I'm guessing she wanted to cover all her bases so she could get on with eating.  She has a wonderful sense of humor and has been doing some cute things.  She likes to say "awww man" if I tell her she's a good girl she'll pat her head and say "good girl".  I guess I pat her head a lot when I tell her she's a good girl..opps.  She loves playing in her doll house with her dolls, she puts them to sleep, makes them sit down, has them climb up the stairs.  Emily also has a mean kick, she can kick a ball hard and far.  In fact if she sees a ball she'll go up and kick it.  I hope to be posting some more pictures soon.  I finally sent my lap top out to be fixed so when it gets back I'll post more of her playing and stuff.  I have tons on my facebook so if you are on my friends list you can always check them out there.

I'll be starting my wedding season this March.  I hope it's a nice calm year.  I've been booking two a month and have until Oct. booked.  I will not book more then two a month even though I have felt very guilty turning people away.  I want to focus more on families, kids and seniors this year as those are my favorites.  I have some exciting new ideas that I look forward to trying.

I've been working out still.  I think I've been doing a good job, these last two weeks I've really kicked it into gear and I can actually say I'm proud of myself.  I've got a pair of capri's that I try on a few times a week, they are my goal pants.  I can fit into them but they are tight so the goal is to wear them well by the end of this month!  I've been trying to cook healthier, less potatos and more whole grains and fish!  Lots and lots of veggies, I'm looking forward to that warmer weather when everything is in season!!

It's been awhile.

My laptop is broken so the only computer I have is the one in the backroom which is the coldest room in the world with the dangerous brick fire place that Emily likes to crawl into. I don't go back there often. I think I'm getting to that time of year where I am ready to move south! I'm very much over winter and over being cold all the time. Hmm.. lastest news...

We've been going to the acupuncturist for a couple weeks now. I'm going for my headaches, Jimmy is going for his sinus pressure and Nathan is going in hopes it will help solve his coughing problem. I have to say it is a very interesting experience. It's not painful but it feels different, almost like they're tapping into your nerve or a bone or something, just a very odd feeling. Nathan is very brave and doesn't complain at all. The first time we went it was for Jimmy's appointment. I brought Nathan along to watch so he'd have an idea what would happen at his appointment. The Dr. had Jimmy lay down with his shirt of face down. The first place she put a needle was the top of his head which caught me off guard. Nathan turned around and gave me a "you've got to be kidding me" look. Then she put needles all around the base of his head/top of his neck, needles all over his back and some on his legs. Probably 50 in all. At one point he kinda jumped a bit and said "that was interesting" which freaked me out because usually interesting isn't a good thing. But after having it done a few times myself it's not at all what I thought it would feel like. It almost feels like someone is just flicking you at different points on your back. It's really nothing and afterwards I can tell my muscles are sore almost like I got a very deep massage. I'm hoping this will help us all, mostly hoping it will help Nathans cough. We shall see.
