March and it's crazy weather.

Emily swinging at the park, she loves to go high:
Singing our swinging song:
Loving this weather:
Well we had another nice couple of days. March is always annoying because the weather is so back and forth.  Emily and I went to the park again, a couple times with a friend that lives down the road from us.  I am so ready for warmer weather!  Emily loves playing outdoors.  She enjoys swinging and likes to go high.  She likes climbing around on the playground and sliding down slides on her tummy.  Her favorite thing to do is to just go outside and run around everywhere.  I can't believe how much she's been learning lately.  I've notice a big difference even in the past few days.  She lets me know what she wants when she wants it.  If she wants to go outside she'll bring me her socks and shoes, she calls them both shoes.  If she wants me to read a book she'll bring it to me and sit in my lap.  If I quote part of a book she'll remember what book it's from and go get that book.  She knows when she's hungry and will go pull on the fridge door.  Last night she got tired of waiting for dinner so she stood in front of the fridge and said "hungry, please, thank you".  I'm guessing she wanted to cover all her bases so she could get on with eating.  She has a wonderful sense of humor and has been doing some cute things.  She likes to say "awww man" if I tell her she's a good girl she'll pat her head and say "good girl".  I guess I pat her head a lot when I tell her she's a good girl..opps.  She loves playing in her doll house with her dolls, she puts them to sleep, makes them sit down, has them climb up the stairs.  Emily also has a mean kick, she can kick a ball hard and far.  In fact if she sees a ball she'll go up and kick it.  I hope to be posting some more pictures soon.  I finally sent my lap top out to be fixed so when it gets back I'll post more of her playing and stuff.  I have tons on my facebook so if you are on my friends list you can always check them out there.

I'll be starting my wedding season this March.  I hope it's a nice calm year.  I've been booking two a month and have until Oct. booked.  I will not book more then two a month even though I have felt very guilty turning people away.  I want to focus more on families, kids and seniors this year as those are my favorites.  I have some exciting new ideas that I look forward to trying.

I've been working out still.  I think I've been doing a good job, these last two weeks I've really kicked it into gear and I can actually say I'm proud of myself.  I've got a pair of capri's that I try on a few times a week, they are my goal pants.  I can fit into them but they are tight so the goal is to wear them well by the end of this month!  I've been trying to cook healthier, less potatos and more whole grains and fish!  Lots and lots of veggies, I'm looking forward to that warmer weather when everything is in season!!

It's been awhile.

My laptop is broken so the only computer I have is the one in the backroom which is the coldest room in the world with the dangerous brick fire place that Emily likes to crawl into. I don't go back there often. I think I'm getting to that time of year where I am ready to move south! I'm very much over winter and over being cold all the time. Hmm.. lastest news...

We've been going to the acupuncturist for a couple weeks now. I'm going for my headaches, Jimmy is going for his sinus pressure and Nathan is going in hopes it will help solve his coughing problem. I have to say it is a very interesting experience. It's not painful but it feels different, almost like they're tapping into your nerve or a bone or something, just a very odd feeling. Nathan is very brave and doesn't complain at all. The first time we went it was for Jimmy's appointment. I brought Nathan along to watch so he'd have an idea what would happen at his appointment. The Dr. had Jimmy lay down with his shirt of face down. The first place she put a needle was the top of his head which caught me off guard. Nathan turned around and gave me a "you've got to be kidding me" look. Then she put needles all around the base of his head/top of his neck, needles all over his back and some on his legs. Probably 50 in all. At one point he kinda jumped a bit and said "that was interesting" which freaked me out because usually interesting isn't a good thing. But after having it done a few times myself it's not at all what I thought it would feel like. It almost feels like someone is just flicking you at different points on your back. It's really nothing and afterwards I can tell my muscles are sore almost like I got a very deep massage. I'm hoping this will help us all, mostly hoping it will help Nathans cough. We shall see.
