First Day is work day.

So mom is cracking the whip today. Kids are cleaning their room super good, closet and everything. They spent some time reading and doing other chores. Of course they're earning points and I did take them to DQ for lunch so don't feel to bad for them. I figure one good day to get everything in ship shape. It's kinda gloomy out today anyhow. Kaylee's well on her way to making a best friend already. She was playing with the little girl across the street again as soon as she possibly could yesterday and she's already been dying all day today for her to get home. She doesn't get out of school until next week. Another reason why we're cleaning things up now.
I need to crack the whip on myself here and mop my kitchen floor. I'm feeling in the mood for a nice long bike ride tonight after dinner. That would be nice, as long as it's not raining.

Yesterday was the last day of school for both kids. I got Emily out and did some exploring and had some one on one extra bonding time because soon she'll have to share me all day. Here's a couple pictures from her exploring the yard and the tree:
