Beautiful Butterflies!

The kids started spring break Friday.  They were both very excited about that.  I'm a little sad, not that they're going to be home but because the weather looks like ick the whole time.  I wanted to do outdoors things while they were home but I'm thinking they'll be stuck indoors a lot.  So I've been trying to think of a few things to do with them here at home.  Today we went to the butterfly garden in Grand Rapids.  I have to say it was a lot of fun!  Emily was very good considering she is quite the explorer and would be fine wondering around for hours touching this and climbing that with out a parent.  I've been teaching her to hold my hand and for the most part she does pretty well with it.  The garden was a photographers dream!  I should go sometime with out the kids and have at it!  I think I could have spent the day there.  After checking out all the butterflies we went to Grandville and had lunch at Olive Garden, mm mm then stopped by the mall.  Jimmy dared Nathan and Kaylee to eat either a hot pepper out of the salad or two black olives for a small toy.  Kaylee tried the pepper but ended up eating the olives, Nathan ate the pepper in like five seconds.  The things kids will do for a treat!  Nate must have his fathers taste buds.   So it ended up being "one of the best days ever" a quote from Kaylee.  I'll post a few here and a ton on facebook so check them out.  We got some neat butterfly pictures and some pretty flower pictures as well.

I did have a nasty little run in on Saturday with some boiling oatmeal.  It slipped out of my hands and landed on my bare foot.  Unlike water, oatmeal doesn't just run off, it sticks so I got a nasty burn.  I've never had blisters from a heat burn before so that was a fun morning!  Anyhow, check out the pics!!
