So I got around to taking some new pictures of Emily for Valentines Day (a little early). She was in serious need of a nap and I only had a few minutes before I had to go pick up the kids so I only got two that I really liked. Of course giving a four month old baby a rose probably wasn't one of my better ideas. Roses are delicious. Anyhow here's Emily's Valentine Pictures:
Isn't she adorable?!?!
Jimmy did the sweetest thing ever last night. We went to sleep a little after ten and around midnight I woke up and noticed he wasn't in bed. So I went to find out where he had run off to and as soon as I opened the bedroom door he was right near the hall (scared me). I asked him what he was doing and he said he'd be to bed in a few minutes and asked if I had to use the bathroom and then just about shoved me in the bathroom and shut the door. I thought that was a little odd so I went then went back to bed and I could hear him shuffling around the house. I was about to get up to see what he was doing when he came back in the bedroom. He sleeps near the window and I sleep on the edge so I can grab Emily if she gets up to eat. So he gets into bed and said something about forgetting to turn off the light in the hall. So I got up to turn it off since I was closer and as soon as I got in the hall I noticed that there was paper on the ground and paper taped to the walls and pieces of paper everywhere. He had taped phrases that he had written me all over the house. I think I've got probably 40 of them. He had thought of different little things that he likes about me or just sweet things and had typed them out, cut them out and taped them all over. Here's a few:
Love, Happiness, Joy... so many words that describe who you are.
My life is lost without you there
My heart is completely yours
You helped a grown man grow up. I love you for that.
Your strengths make me stronger
The stars flying through the air (when we first met there were tons of falling stars that night)
The rest of them are secret!! Heehee.. so anyhow of course it made me cry reading all of them. There is one thing I know about Jimmy and he is 100 percent honest about his feelings. He doesn't make things up just because he knows thats what you want to hear. All of those things came straight from his heart. So I've been walking around the house smiling all morning and I've got the biggest grin right now. And this sweet little story just fits right in with the Valentine pictures I took of Emily so it's perfect!!
UPDATE:
So the sweetest husband in the world totally surprised me by bringing me home some lunch from Jimmy Johns today. He works about 20 minutes away from home so he usually just takes lunch to work. I thought that was such a sweet thing to do. He's great at thinking of thoughtful things. A lot of guys would just get their wives flowers and although thats nice sometimes too my favorite kind of gifts are the thought out ones.
Ok... so I go to pick up the kids and sitting on the seat waiting for me is a cute puppy... aw he has floppy ears and says "I love you this much". Plus he was carefully guarding one of my favorites, gummi bears. So the last surprise of the day was a cute stuffed animal and some bears of gummi! I'm not the sharpest tack in the box, I probably should have figured that there was something waiting for me in the car what with him telling me my surprise was coming at 3:30 and me leaving at 3:30 to get the kids. Oh well!! So thanks honey for making today so special, I love you!!
All of this is on top of the roses he got me last week and the somethings he got me from Victoria Secret a few weeks ago. Aww... I feel like a Princess.
