So I had to post another blog today even though I just posted one because I caught a good video of Emily standing. She's a smart little baby.
Look at what a big girl my little pumpkin is!! She's starting to stand by herself and pay attention to the very end because she says "yay" around 34 seconds in:
Well I'm off to enjoy the rest of the day!!

BBQ
Today we went to a BBQ over at Amber and Matt's house. There were a few other couples over and everyone had their children with, lots of girls. Poor Nate was the only boy but he didn't seem to mind. The weather has been wonderful today, better then I thought it would be. I wonder if warm weather is here to stay finally!! My parents are coming over tonight for a visit and I believe my mom is going to run to town with me to do a little shopping. Now I have plans to take a nice walk/bike ride with someone.

Jumping pictures
Today was so nice and warm out, ahhhh. I really enjoyed being able to take a walk, open the windows and just breathe in some of this nice fresh air. I spent the morning finishing up some pictures, yay!! I really feel good about what I got done. But the vast majority of the day was spent with Emily and editing so not really anything exciting to write about. Kaylee and Nathan have three more days of school, they are so excited. I can't believe it's summer break, just doesn't seem possible, I think thats the cold weathers fault. Well since I don't have any exciting news I'll post a few more pictures from last weekend.

Long Random Blog
So I'm taking a little break here from all the editing I have. Figured I'd write a blog while I hang out on the floor with Emily. I have a few new stories about her. Yesterday she was sitting on the floor playing with Kaylee's shoe, I ran down the hall to put some clothes away and when I came back she had put Kaylee's shoe on her foot. Aw.. it was really cute. Then today I had the early show on while I was eating breakfast and they had little david on from American Idol and he was singing after he was done all the little girls were clapping and I glanced down at Emily and she was sitting on the floor watching him and clapping her little hands. Heehee.. my smart little monkey.
I hate when you wake up in the middle of the night and you start thinking about things and can't fall back asleep and I swear when I do that I think of the dumbest stuff. Like last night I remember thinking I smelled baked potatoes and then that got me thinking about my boogers and if those had a baked potato scent which got me thinking about my ear wax and how I swear I don't have any but dang Nathan has mushrooms growing out of his ears and that got me thinking about body fluids like boogers and ear wax and tears and how it was cool our body naturally produced the things we need to keep are gears going which got me thinking about my car and how the door needs to be greased because it squeaks which got me thinking about how I really need to wash my car again since I left it out under the pollen tree. That got me thinking about pollen and how people are allergic to it and other things and how the trees we have in our yard are really full of a lot of pollen and then I was thinking about the trees and how I use to like climbing them when I was little and how Kaylee and nathan like climbing them and how they couldn't climb the bigger trees because they can't reach the branches. So then I got thinking that the only way you could reach the branches was if you could float up there or jump really high and then I got to thinking about flying and how it would be neat if people could fly and how I would had to fall if I was flying up in the sky. So yeah I went from baked potatoes to flying in the matter of a few minutes. Oh... the wonders of my brain at night. Anyhow I guess I felt the need to share all of that. Ha!! You lucky lucky people.
So Jimmy and I set up a cool idea for the kids. We have a little store set up in our back room with various toys and books and privileges that they can "buy". The way they buy these items is by earning points which they get by doing jobs or good behavior. Each job has a different point value anything from 25-100 and they can do several each day. Jobs can be anything from making their beds to picking up sticks in the front yard. I also will reward them for working on spelling, reading and math during the summer to keep their little minds on track. They're both very excited about it and I think it will be a lot of fun.
Kaylee's birthday is coming up and this year she wants a party. She's very excited about it. We're going to do this adult dinner party thing where they dress up and we'll have the table all set up nice and they can order and get different courses. She's all about being fancy and girly so she really likes the idea. I'm also going to bake cup cakes and let them decorate their own. I was trying to be a little different and I think this idea fits Kaylee really well. I was at the party store looking for stuff and of course they had the cutest first birthday party ideas. So I was looking at all the stuff they had. I love the little first birthday cake hat. Ha!!
Nathan won't be having friends over this year for his birthday but we will do his favorite, fire works. Man he loves that for his birthday. Thats what he asks for each year. That and one year he wanted his on parade. With floats and clowns and animals... sorry Nate. I'll never forget the first year we went to Indiana to buy fireworks and the labels really didn't describe what they did really well so we started shooting them off expecting showers of different colors and dang those things flew up in the air and exploded. Scared five years off my life, we were right under a tree and the sparks were raining down on us.. ha.. Nathan loved them after we moved way back.
I'm so exciting for summer, I can't wait for warm weather. I wonder what Emily will think of the pool. I hope she loves it as much as she loves her bath. I love taking the kids swimming. Not as big of a beach fan just because with a baby it's so hard to keep them out of all the dangerous stuff. They love getting sand everywhere, mouth eyes nose ears and stupid little rocks and bugs and sticks and used cig. butts. So I'll stick with the pool mostly and perhaps take the kids to the beach when I have someone to watch Emily. I'll have to take Emily at least once of course, gotta have her first trip to the beach. Poor baby is so white she'll need a very thick layer of sun screen. Well geez... this was a long blog about blah. Guess I better get back to work. Wha tish (whip cracking)

Happy Memorial Day, late.
Here's some pictures of the kids from this weekend:
Kaylee, Emily and Nathan all in red, white and blue:
I can't believe it's nearly 4:00 already, geez has time gone by fast today. I've been pushing extra hard to get some of my editing done and I'm glad Miss Emily was so lovely and patient with the lack of attention I usually give her. I'm feeling a little guilty but I did most of the work while she was napping and I'll let her take an extra long bath tonight, she loves those.
This last weekend was a lot of fun, we had a great time at my parents house on Sunday and then on Monday we went to the neighborhood block party and met neighbors we had yet to meet (we're slackers). The kids had fun with all the other kids and Emily had a blast sitting in the grass pulling it all out. All the grannies thought she was adorable, of course. Then Jimmy had Tuesday off so we took Emily to South Bend and did some birthday shopping for Kaylee then went to Olive Garden and Hobby Lobby and a furniture store then headed back home. Tuesday night we had some friends who were visiting from out of town over. We got to meet their little girl who recently turned two. Kaylee couldn't get enough of her, she keeps talking about how she wishes Emily was older. Then today I was editing and now I'm going to post this blog before I run down to the bus stop to get the kids. Whew! So I slacked on the editing this weekend and now I've got to play make up.

SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY!!!
Well finally some nicer weather!! It's about ding dang time. Today we went off to my parents house... had our little bbq early since tomorrow looks like rain (sigh). We had a really nice time, went to church first and then home for lunch. My Aunt Kathy and Uncle Mike were in town too. It was nice to see them, don't often get a chance. Mom made a yummy lunch, Dad grilled it. We ate, jumped on the trampoline, swung on the hammock swings and Kaylee learned how to shoot a bow and arrow. I've got a million pictures so I'm keeping this short. Here's some hammock pictures.

Freezing again
Yippee it's a holiday weekend. I have nothing booked this weekend so I am planning some exciting family time. We have a few things we're going to do around the house, Jimmy is going to play "camping" with the kids and we're going to spend some time at my parents house. Fun stuff!! Hopefully the weather will be nice, they're calling for nice weather but I've heard that before.
So Jimmy had today off of work, yay! I had these big plans to take some pictures of Emily and stuff and guess what, the temp dropped and the wind picked up and it was FREEZING out. Thanks good ol' Michigan. So maybe another time, sigh. Jimmy took a few of the two of us since we were already at the park. So here we are playing around:

Emily and Mommy's mornings
Today we're having a little fun. I spent a lot of time working on pictures yesterday and I hate not spending most my time with Emily, she's only a baby once. So after feeling guilty last night I decided today to just do pictures during naps and maybe spend two days a week where I really try to get a lot done. So this morning was spent playing with my baby pie, and being silly of course. Here is a typical morning for Emily and I (without including diaper changes):
Good morning Mommy:
The camera again?!?!:
Checking out the living room:
Stop for a juice break:
Now some breakfast:
A few banana puffs:
I'll just cram this in my mouth:
Oops, still a little breakfast on my finger:
Ok, teeth are still there:
Another juice stop:
Checking out what's going on outside:
Mommy spends most the morning tickling me:
I love every stuffed animal I come across:
But then I leave them for something new:
Bunny needs some hugs:
And some snuggles:
Exploring the grounds on my ride:
My mommy cracks me up:
So much that I can't even sit up:
Daddy's shoes are awesome:
Laces are so delicious (good thing these are new):
And after all those morning adventures it's time for naps.
So that was our morning. This will all change in about two weeks when school lets out... then I'll have three children to monkey around with.
