So Kaylee has school store day, each kid in 3rd grade gets the chance to think up and run their own store. Some of her classmates are doing mini book stores, facepainting, finger nail painting, candy stores, sticker stores etc. Kaylee is doing "Kaylee's Kookies". I spent the whole day baking sugar cookies and then frosting sugar cookies for her to sell. Sugar cookies are very time consuming, you've got to make the dough, roll it out, cut out the cookies, bake them, let them cool, mix up frosting, frost the cookies, sprinkles whew!! All day long I'm glad I don't own a bakery! But they turned out nice, I should have taken a picture. Anyhow so she'll run her store half the time then shop at stores the other half. Sounds like fun to me, we never got to do anything like that in school. Although we did have letter people and those were fun and my 2nd grade teacher Mrs. Wiss always played the piano and we sang and stuff so that was fun. Oh good old times back in the old days...ha! I remember when the weather was icky we had to play on the track out back behind the school because we couldn't go on the playground and there were always a bunch of worms on it from rain. The boys would chase us girls around with them...meanies.
Well today will be fun for Kaylee, as for me I have a mountain full of laundry to do and some editing that needs my attention and of course Emily will be sure to have me chase her around as much as possible!! Then this weekend I'll be busy as a bee with pictures starting Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Next week I'll have so much editing I don't think I'll have time to eat, or sleep, or shower so don't get to close! Ha!
