Alrighty, I'm making note of different products/things/foods/stuffs that I love and why I love them. I think I'll try to update every so often because I doubt I'll be able to name everything off the top of my head. I call it "Jodi's List" and here it begins:
Food/Drink:
Simply Lemonade and Simply Orange:
I love this stuff, it's simply delicious....ha! I made a funny. But seriously I love the lemonade the most because if you look at the label on the back there are like three ingredients, filtered water, lemon juice and sugar and that would be real sugar not that high fructose nonsense. It's so yummy, I love the orange juice too, I like to drink it with my breakfast. If you haven't tried it and you like Lemonade then try it. Go on... right now...
Claussens Pickles:
If I'm eating a sandwich for lunch I always eat a Claussen's Pickle with it. These magic little tidbits aren't in with the "regular" dill pickles. Nope they like to keep these wondrous yummies cold so you'll have to look for them by the lunch meats. They have such a nice crispy snap, I don't like my pickles soggy!
Jimmy John's Turkey Tom:
Speaking of sandwiches I love Jimmy John's and their turkey tom is so good. I love their bread, it's not too thick and has a nice texture, kinda firm on the outside and softy on the inside. I always ask for added cucumbers on my sandwich because sometimes the tomatoes aren't very good in winter and if I need to pull them off I still have the cucumber to add a little something special.
Jones Soda's root beer:
Again they use pure cane sugar so if you're going for pop this is the pop to drink. I love root beer and this stuff is the stuff. Mmm...
Florida Natural fruit nuggets:
Think fruit snacks for adults. Comes in Strawberry, Orange and Blueberry and all are really very yummy. Only 50 Calories a pack and they're fat free, no preservatives or artificial colors plus a nice amount of vitamin C and they're Kosher. I found these goodies at Target by the regular fruit snacks. Mmm... made from 66 percent real fruit puree and juices.
Products:
Curel lotion:
Every night I wake up to go to the bathroom and when I get back in bed my feet always feel dry and they bug me to the point that I need to put lotion on them or I'll just be laying in bed forever thinking about how annoying they feel. I got a bottle of Curel lotion in my stocking this past Christmas (thanks mom) and I love it for my dry night time feet. It's nice because it doesn't have that sticky feeling that some lotions have and actually when I put it on it almost has a "wet" feeling, a watery feeling or something and it keeps my feet happy for the rest of the night. I know, I'm a freak!
Physician's formula makeup:
The best makeup (I think) that you can buy at a regular store. It's light and it doesn't clog my pores. I love the baked eye shadows, they go on really smooth and have a nice natural look to them and the lip plumper really does make your lips look fuller!! I've used other makeup and it always causes some naughty little pimple to pop out but I've never had problems with this makeup.
Dove unscented deodorant:
I've never liked scented deodorant because I think it's scent mixes with whatever lotion I have on and I don't like the combo. I love Dove because it keeps me from smelling like my brother (ha) while keeping my pits from drying out. This is the only deodorant I've used that works well yet doesn't dry out my poor armpits, I hate dry skin under my pits.
Aveeno Baby lotion:
This stuff is worth it's weight in gold! I've used it on Emily since she was a little newborn and it works so well. Regular baby lotion always seemed to dry her skin out more so I switched to the Aveeno baby lotion and it took care of her dry skin after the first time I used it. This lotion is also not sticky but it's thicker so it coats nicely.
Other:
The Firm Transfirmer:
This workout will kick your hind end three ways till next Tuesday and back again. They say you will notice visible results in 10 workouts or less and they are not lying. It's a nice combo of weight training, step and cardio for a long long long hour. Make sure you have a bottle of water near you because you'll need it.
Great Wolf Lodge:
Super fun place to take your kids in the winter when you live in good ol' Michigan. Indoor water park with Magi Quest game and story hour, loads of kid fun. We went recently and everyone really enjoyed themselves, even Emily loved it. The water park is fun for all ages with a nice sized toddler pool that Emily loved all the way up to adult hot tub and tube water slides. They have different types of rooms but even the basic room we stayed in had a fridge with counter space and living area and was plenty big. Plus if you stay off season they usually slip a deal under your door trying to get you to book another night. So only book one and hold out for the lower rate for the second night! I've got a blog all about it back in Feb, check it out!
Psst... check out Emily's Blog for her newest pictures from Easter, they turned out super cute!!
